As a licensed Clinical Psychologist in practice almost 20 years, I help people to understand and cope with the problems they face in their lives and make important changes. Beginning therapy can be major step requiring emotional energy and resources, but it can offer rewards such as self-awareness, emotional growth, improved relationships, decreases in troubling symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and anger, and enhanced ability to cope with life’s difficulties and achieve goals.
In a safe and confidential setting, I help people with the following problems and concerns:
- Depression
- Anxiety and panic
- Relationship difficulties
- Self-esteem challenges
- Trauma and PTSD
- Grief and loss
- LGBTQ concerns and coming out
- Excessive anger or jealousy
- Feelings of emptiness or loneliness
- Infidelity
- Sex addiction/compulsivity
- Alcohol and drug use
- Chronic pain and illness
- Bipolar disorder
- Work stress and school-related difficulties
- Difficulties in friendships and family relationships
Most would describe me as a skillful and caring therapist who is responsive to the needs of each client. I work actively in the here and now, helping you to see new perspectives and find practical solutions, while exploring the deeper factors and earlier experiences that inform your current struggles. My aim is to help people to develop greater self-awareness and internal strength, find meaning and hope, and create more satisfying relationships. I have a particular expertise in helping individuals and couples work through relationship problems. I work with adults and adolescents and provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
